5. Happy people are mindful

Happy people know how to enjoy the small things, the simple pleasures. They take rests and know that every moment matters so they savour it slowly. They don’t rush, they take their time. They are present. They are mindful.

6. They Do What They Enjoy

Some statistics show that 80% of people dislike their jobs. No wonder there are so many unhappy people running around…
Because we spend a great deal of our life at work, it is imperative to choose a career that we truly enjoy – the extra money of a job you detest isn’t worth it. That said, it isn’t always possible to earn a living doing a job we love, so then we need to make sure to kake some time to enjoy our hobbies and pursue our interests.
Doing things you enjoy makes you happier and more productive.

7. Look to the Future

Happy people focus on creating the future of their dreams. They take the time to learn the skills and strategies to create the outcome they desire. Happy people set their goals, make a plan to succeed and take action.
We are always happy when we are pursuing and achieve something we value, when we have a purpose.

8. Accept What they Cannot Change

Happy people don’t waste their thoughts or energy on situations beyond their control. They know and accept their limits as humans. This means they don’t worry about the future and they don’t fret over the past.

9. They spend their money on experiences

Fun and happiness go hand in hand, same as boredom and sadness do. While money doesn’t bring happiness per se, money well spent may do. Research shows that it is experiences rather than things that can make our happiness last for longer.
Do you have savings? Consider spending them on travels and adventures!

10. They have an attitude of gratitude

Happy people are grateful – and grateful people are happier. They constantly and consistently count their blessings. They see the glass half full. They have the ability to find the positive side to most situations.
